What we collect, what it is used for, and how to have it removed. This policy applies to urbanphotorace.com and to the information you give us when you take part in a race.
We take privacy and data protection very seriously. In fact we collect almost no data from our website visitors, only some required information from our participants. Any personally identifiable information ("Personal Information") you share with us is securely stored on our system. "Personal Information" means any information that may be used to identify an individual, including, but not limited to, a first and last name, an e-mail address or other contact information. You are solely responsible for your information, and Urban Photo Race acts as a passive conduit for your online distribution and publication of your information. We do not collect or store any Personal Information that is not submitted by you through one of our online forms or the sale of tickets.
Personal Information submitted to us will be used to contact you and to authenticate your access to the photo race.
All information submitted to us is restricted within our organisation. People who need the information for safety purposes are granted access to it. Your Personal Information is only used within the scope of Urban Photo Race activities, including, but not limited to, newsletters, e-mail and messages.
You may be asked by third-party service providers to submit some of your Personal Information. This is done at your own accord and under that third party’s terms of use and privacy policy. This may happen when you buy tickets or pay for any other service we provide. We may request the Personal Information you submitted to a third party, solely to provide you with the full scope of our services, including, but not limited to, race-day participant information.
Urban Photo Race will not engage third parties who do not comply with our data privacy requirements. We do not share, sell or distribute your Personal Information with unrelated third parties, except under these limited circumstances: we will only disclose your Personal Information if we have a good-faith belief that disclosure is helpful or reasonably necessary to (i) comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, (ii) enforce our Terms of Use, including investigations of potential violations, (iii) detect, prevent or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues, or (iv) protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of Urban Photo Race, the website, its users, yourself or the public.
You are entitled to ask for the removal and deletion of your Personal Information from our servers at any moment. We will do this as soon as possible, on request.
We count visits to this website with Cloudflare Web Analytics, a service of Cloudflare. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not follow individual visitors: it counts page views, the page you came from, your country and the type of device and browser, in aggregate only. Your IP address is used to deliver the measurement, not to identify you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in knowing how the website is used. Cloudflare processes the data for us and may do so in the United States, where Cloudflare, Inc. takes part in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
With your permission we also use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google, to see in more detail which pages are read. Nothing is measured by Google until you press Accept in the cookie message. If you press Decline, or do not answer, the Google Analytics script is never loaded.
We measure the pages you open, the page you came from, whether you press a ticket link or sign up for the newsletter, your approximate location (country and city), and the type of device, browser and language you use. We do not send your name or email address to Google, and Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses. We do not use this data for advertising.
Google Analytics sets two cookies on your device, named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID. They let us recognise a returning visitor without knowing who that visitor is, and they expire after 13 months. Analytics data is deleted after 14 months. Google processes the data for us and may do so in the United States, where Google LLC takes part in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
The legal basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time, with the button below or with Cookie settings in the footer of every page. The cookies are then removed and nothing more is sent. The cookie message is shown again after about six months.
As is true of most websites, we gather web server log information automatically, such as your IP address, browser type, referring and exit pages, operating system, clickstream patterns, and the dates and times the website is accessed. We use this information to administer the website, understand how visitors navigate through it, and improve your experience while using it.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Protecting privacy online is an evolving area, and this website evolves to meet it. If you have any comments or questions about this policy, contact us at info@urbanphotorace.com. We will address any issue to the best of our ability, as soon as possible.
By using the Urban Photo Race website you consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy and the accompanying Terms and Conditions, to the transfer of data abroad, and to Urban Photo Race processing Personal Information for the purposes given above. If you do not agree to all of the above, please do not use the website. We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, add or remove portions of this Privacy Policy at any time. Your continued use of the website following the posting of changes means you accept those changes.
