Eight hours from the Eye Film Museum in Amsterdam Noord, four checkpoints and four themes, from Behind The Scenes to City Pulse.

On Saturday 17 June 2023 the race started in front of the Eye Film Museum in Amsterdam Noord, where racers found the UPR beach flag, scanned their ticket from 10:00 and left together at 11:00.

It was a race of eight hours with four checkpoints and four themes: Behind The Scenes, Perfect, All Of Us and City Pulse. The finish at CP4 was open from 18:00 to 19:00, and the twelve photographs were due before 13:00 on Sunday.

The jury, photographers Eli Dijkers and Bas Losekoot and photography mentor Monique de Zwart, read every series.

The winners

Emiel Pol won Best Photographer, ahead of Roger Janssen and Daniel Porter. The themes went to Annemarie Terhell (Behind The Scenes), Remke Maris (Perfect), Ans Hilbrink (All Of Us) and Rico Andriesse (City Pulse), and the jury favourites to Daniel Porter, Owen Schumacher and Hans Winkels.

There was more than €700 in prize money: €250, €120 and €70 for the three best photographers, €50 for each theme winner and €25 for each juror's favourite.
