Meet Other Photographers: The Urban Photography Race (UPR) offers a unique opportunity to connect with fellow photography enthusiasts who share a passion for street and urban photography. Whether before the race, at checkpoints, or after the event, there’s ample time to engage in conversations, relax, and exchange insights with peers.

Explore the City: The Urban Photography Race (UPR) provides an exciting chance to discover the city in a way you've never experienced before. As you navigate through the streets, guided towards various checkpoints, you'll uncover hidden gems and view the city from fresh, new perspectives.

Challenge Yourself: Throughout the Urban Photography Race, photographers are presented with thematic challenges designed to push their creative boundaries and hone their skills. This dynamic approach not only enhances your photographic abilities but also allows for your work to be evaluated by a panel of professional judges.

JURY MEMBERS

RANdY FOKKE

Photography is, for me, a way to observe the world from a distance while simultaneously being part of it. In my photos, I look for the extraordinary in the everyday. The street is my favorite subject; I enjoy capturing people who operate alone, who are both visible and invisible at the same time. Small islands in the bustle of the city.

BAS LOSEKOOT

Bas Losekoot is an artist and photographer, concerned with socio-cultural issues in cities around the world. With an intuitive eye, he visualizes the human experience in modern megacities. Working with cinematographic apparatus, he is challenging our understanding of reality in everyday city-life as well as the limited narrative potential of representations of truth in documentary photography.

CLAIRE FELICIE

I'm an Amsterdam-based photographer who began taking photos at 18 and launched my professional career with In the Forecourt, a series featuring my own children. My project Here Are The Young Men—portraits of Dutch marines around their deployment to Afghanistan—received international acclaim and is permanently exhibited at NATO Headquarters. Since then, I’ve focused on the military profession, traveling to (post-)war zones and publishing four photo books.
