UPR UTRECHT 19 september 2020
On Saturday, September 19, 2020, the very first edition of the Urban Photo Race Utrecht started. After that this was postponed by Corona in the spring, it could now take place, although that was still exciting due to the press conference on September 17.
We challenged everyone with the following themes:
Theme1: Start the day with a smile
Theme2: Always ahead! (Club song of FC Utrecht)
Theme3: Utrecht connects
Theme 4: Keep your distance
Theme5: Miffy is naughty!
Theme6: Cityscapes
Because the new measures would only take effect on Sunday, we could still start. In the summer, we adjusted the organization so that we could create a corona-proof edition of the UPR. Given the course of the race day, we succeeded and we did not endanger anyone. On the day we were blessed with fantastic weather and a good turnout with motivated participants.
We have made a mix of themes related to Utrecht and current events. Some themes were more of a challenge for the participants than others, but given the results we are very surprised at the results and the creativity. We enjoyed the many beautiful photos and the positive reactions, which motivates us to organize the next Urban Photo Race. Until next time!
